Smith River Falls Campground
Campground Description: Smith River Falls Campground is owned and operated by the US Bureau of Land Management. Smith River Falls Campground is on the Smith River in Oregon and is often confused with the Smith River near the Oregon/California boarder. The Smith River Falls Campground is located on the Smith River just above the falls. This small campground offers no services other than pit toilets, but it is a gem of a campground. The roads and parking spots are all paved as is the boat launch. Activities include fishing, swimming, bird watching, plant identification and occasional mammal spotting. Shopping and services are available in Reedsport. Open from May 31 to September 30 every year. Reservations are not possible. Holding a campsite for another party that has not arrived is against the law in Oregon - significant penalties are applicable.
